Jessica--THANK YOU!! Thank you so much for supporting those of us who have had weight loss surgery. Despite what many think we don't do this to be skinny we do this for health reasons, yeah having better choices in clothing is nice but NOTHING tops the benefits of losing excess weight. As for myself I went from being a type 2 diabetic with heart issues, PCOS and high blood pressure. I no longer have PCOS, haven't been on diabetic medication since the day of my gastric bypass, my heart is great and I love that I took control of MY life. I've lost 162 pounds and yes I went from a size 26 and 302 pounds to a size 8 and 148 pounds but the most important thing is I am happy, healthy and PROUD that I took control of MY life for MYSELF!!
I love what your doing for the plus size community and support you!!
Thank you again Jessica!!

Sarah,
Thank you so much for writing and reading SKORCH. As plus size women ourselves, we completely understand your point of view. However, we very much believe that every woman's goal should be to be healthy and confident. For some women, who feel trapped by their weight and feel hopeless to get it off, surgery is an option, and this community is outstanding for support and education for those women.
We do not discriminate anyone who is going to or has had weight loss surgery.
I assure you, we are not about trying to make a quick dollar and are very selective on the advertisers we choose to support SKORCH.
Warm regards,
Jessica Kane

I'm disappointed that your supporting weight loss surgery-- us fatties get bombarded with enough of that already. It's a cheap way to make advertising money, y'all.
