All my life I’ve struggled with finding cute tall boots that would fit my 19.5″ calf. Luckily, I have a size 11 foot, so I know I have an easier time of it than most of my wide calf friends. This last fall, I went on an obsessed crazy person search to find cute custom tall boots. Luckily, I found the ones from Torrid that I’m wearing in the picture above, and thanks to a tip from Sarah Sapora, Director of Marketing for Sealed With A Kiss Designs, I learned of DUO Boots. Honestly, why did I not know of them before? I place that offers cute and quality boots custom to YOUR foot and calf measurement – genius. They are pricier, but everyone I know that has purchased boots from DUO sings their praises – this is why I’m proud to partner with them to introduce you to DUO.
My favorites are the brown boots! My picks are the VERDANA and the TAMORA. And, the best part? Shipping is FREE to the US!

Meet The Plump Pinay bloggers Stacy and Danah. These women are so inspiring and empowering and we are so excited to share with you an exclusive interview and a peek into why these ladies are catching the world by storm with their Body Love Warrior blog.
After numerous attempts to become skinny and stay skinny which resulted to eating disorders (Stacy suffered from Anorexia-Bulimia for 7 months while Danah got obsessed with calorie counting and over exercising), the twins finally learned how to accept the way their bodies were meant to be–voluptuous and chunky.
Their commitment towards self-love combined with the exhaustion from the world full of corrupt views on body image sparked ideas into writing about body appreciation. Seeing plus size models from the US and Europe, and wonderful fat positive websites finally urged the sisters to sit on their thinking chairs and start typing to promote this body revolution in their wonderful motherland, the Philippines.
We are so glad they did!! You’re going to love their one-on-one’s, a must read!
This issue is proudly presented by Karen Kane, luxury fashion for sizes 14-22. www.karenkane.com
UK based label Anna Scholz has been a favorite of mine for years. I’m a huge fan of prints and color but the combination of Anna Scholz’s luxury and ability to create unexpected pieces for curvy women are what set the brand apart. I had a chat with the one and only Anna Scholz about her spring 2012 collection and here’s what she had to say: Click to read interview and view all the images >>

You most likely recognize our cover girl Nina from the hit gossip show, TMZ, but there is so much more to this woman and we are so honored to have had the opportunity to sit down and chat, one-on-one.
It’s so cool when you meet a woman like Nina who has worked so hard for everything she has and truly breaking down barriers. My favorite quote was one about tenacity and how it’s undervalued….Nina, I absolutely agree. One of the things team Skorch is most known for is their tenacity and I think it’s our most powerful trait. I’m so proud of team Skorch for pulling this all together. Cali Ann Lee for making it happen and Marcy Guevara for the awesome interview, you ladies rock.

Last Saturday my daughter and I went to see the Dallas Black Dance Theatre company perform. My daughter’s teacher, who is in the company, was kind enough to give us 2 tickets. What a BLESSING!! They did an amazing job and my daughter was so inspired and motivated to get more focused on her dance. It was very spur of the moment so I had to wear what I already had on. Ironically, it was a tutu!! lol Because this outfit has sort of a ballet meets military theme I thought it would be fun to pose in some military positions.
Position 1: “ATTEN…TION!!!” (with a handbag of course) lol
