Smoky eyes will never go out of style! This is one of my favorite looks because it’s fool proof, light and comes out sexy every time. I’m using Too Faced Chocolate Bar for this eye I call “Haute Chocolate”.
I start off this smoky eye by using a very pigmented foundation, but apply it lightly so I don’t look cakey or too matte.
I apply my smoky eye before concealer, that way if any shadow falls under my eye, I can wipe it away.
The key to a smoky eye is to blend! But don’t go too crazy with blending out– it’s easy to go from smokey eye to looking like a bruised eye. Keep the blending to a finite area and focus on windshield wiper motions.
False lashes give smoky eyes a pop– but if you’re not into the fake lash look- curl your lashes and apply a few coats of a dark black mascara.
You can use almost any color variation you want with this look. I love brown because it compliments every color eye– and makes my green peepers pop. It’s also very complimentary to hazel, brown and blue eyes.
You can wear almost any lip color you want! This eye is light enough to incorporate a darker color, but smoky enough that a nude looks fabulous too. I chose a cool mauve brown.
Try this look out and I guarantee you’ll love it. And don’t forget to tag me (LinniBunni) on Instagram with your own “haute chocolate” look!
