Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs ($9.99)- This at home “body makeup” aerosol can is a must have in my life. “Sally” and I are old girlfriends in a long and committed relationship…. She helps even out my skin tone, or gives me that golden glow when I haven’t had a chance to get my airbrushed tan. I spray Sally on my chest and neck area to bronze myself, and work what’s leftover from my hands up on to my face for an all over even glow before I apply my foundation. She is the perfect, golden brown color and always right on the money. Cuz if you can’t tone it…. Tan it.
Maybelline Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles Treatment Concealer ($7.99)- Wow, that’s a mouthful! Thankfully, this product truly lives up to its lengthy title. I love its little spongy applicator, and it dries to a powdery finish- leaving it less likely to crease over the course of the day. Dark Circles be gone!
L’Oreal Voluminous Mascara- the Original! ($7.99)- I worked at Nordstrom for years, and would try, test and sample any and every mascara that I could get my hot little hands on. I personally have never been able to tell the difference between a $25 mascara and an $8 one. This is my tried and true- my oldie but goodie. She never gets flakey under my eye, always goes on smoothly, while giving both volume and length (the whole point, right?!?!). I do love many of the L’Oreal mascaras, but this one holds the top spot.
Revlon ColorStay Whipped Crème Foundation ($12.99)- This foundation hit me out of nowhere. I was not someone who typically really fell “in love” with foundation products. I would mix match and change my mind on a monthly basis- I have pretty clear skin, and really only needed my foundation to even me out and cover up some redness in my cheeks…. And then I met ColorStay. She is so smooth and buttery- gliding on my skin like a dream. She’s just the right amount of coverage to make you look “made-up” and polished, but never over-done. My only complaint is that it does not come in a full enough color range- Get on that Revlon!
NYX Butter Gloss ($4.99)- There is a reason I saved my Butter Gloss for number one. This particular gloss is one of my favorite makeup items. PERIOD. Crème Brule in particular is my staple. You can wear it by itself, pair it with a brown-based liner, a dusty rose, or a deeper berry and it takes on a new life & look with each combination! Butter Gloss smells delicious, is never sticky and is now available at Target. My professional makeup kit is stocked full of multiples in every single color, and I love to recommend it to all my brides. No shame in my game- drugstore or not, this puppy is simply THE BEST.
