Beauty Feature: Choosing the Best BB Cream

Are you looking for a product to cover up blemishes without looking like you just dipped your face in a bowl of foundation? For the days you are in a rush and want something you can quickly apply and have a healthy glow that lasts the entire day, I highly recommend finding a great BB cream to add to your collection. Even for the woman who doesn’t really like or wear makeup but wants a little bit of coverage and an even skin tone, this is a great product. Here are some of my favorites:

Bobbi Brown BB Cream

I have searched high and low for the best BB Cream, and Bobbi Brown has claimed top spot in my book for coverage, wear-ability, and cost. Its creamy texture and satin finish gives skin a flawless, natural look that feels amazing and is jam packed with moisturizing antioxidants. Refreshing and breathable to the skin, there’s no need for any extra make up with this on your face. Not coming in the cheapest $40 will get you a tube that will last you at least 3 months, but if your reluctant to spend the $40, they also have travel size tubes for $20 that are convenient for the first time user.

Clinique Age Defense BB Cream

I do love this BB cream for the price point and amazing coverage. You cant go wrong with a dermatologist tested product at $37, this BB cream is great for people with sensitive acne prone skin. It goes on like sunscreen and even smells like it, so if thats not your thing, maybe this product isn’t for you. With an SPF 30 it will give you the protection your skin needs from those lovely sun rays, but is better for someone with dry skin as the texture is a bit on the oily side.

Chanel Les Beiges All-in-One Healthy Glow

One word about this amazing BB Cream: FLAWLESS! LIGHT-WEIGHT! (OK, so that was 2 words but I couldn’t describe such an amazing BB cream in just one word). Although Chanel refuses to call it a BB cream, IT IS! this will make your skin look like its glowing like the Gods. It is super light weight so this is perfect for someone who loathes makeup. Totally breathable on the skin you will feel as if you have nothing on while looking like you just basked in the sun in the Caribbean all week. Definitely worth the cash (even if it does run out fast) its a nice splurge!

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer

I know everyone is crazy about this product, but I found it so hard to color match! Every color I chose made me look more orange than an oompa-loompa! So sad because I have heard a lot of good reviews on this and was excited to try it. Take home a free sample (Nordstrom or Sephora will be happy to make you one) and wear it out in the day time to make sure you aren’t walking around with an orange face and white neck.

PLEASE make sure your BB cream does not contain microbeads. Very bad for the environment, and now all microbead products are BANNED in California; other states are considering a ban as well.
